The Government-backed service helping Local Authorities provide energy efficiency and clean heating upgrades to low income households in England.
The Home Upgrade Hub is a support service helping Local Authorities to secure funding from the government’s Home Upgrade Grant Phase 2 (HUG 2) scheme.
HUG 2 funds energy efficiency upgrades and clean heating systems in low-income households. The scheme targets the worst quality (EPC band D-G), off-gas grid homes in England, to tackle fuel poverty and progress towards the UK’s 2050 Net Zero commitment.
Supporting Local Authorities across England
The Home Upgrade Hub support service is funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and is being delivered by Turner & Townsend.
HUG 2 is the second phase of the Home Upgrade Grant which is allocating up to £700m from early 2023 to 2025. It builds on the success of the scheme’s first phase (HUG 1) which has already allocated £218m to 42 projects covering over 200 local authority areas.
